We headed to Mattoon in September to celebrate Adam & Sarah's marriage. Always a good time!

1st Day of First Grade

Sassy much?

The last birthday celebration was a girls weekend in Chicago with American girl, Navy Pier, and Lincoln Park Zoo on the agenda. First stop was a birthday lunch at American Girl.




Then we headed to Navy Pier for some rides and sightseeing.




After that we headed back to the hotel, went across the street to the "Rock & Roll" McDonalds. They thought that was super cool with the escalator inside. We got back in time to do a little bit of swimming and then get ready for bed.

The next morning we were up early to catch a cab to the zoo before we headed back home.

The next party was our combined family party with cousin Caitlin. Since they share a birthday, sometimes they share a party too! This year we celebrated at Caitlins house. Kenzee got many great gifts as well as a trip to get her American Girl doll that Nan had promised her.

Kenzees first party in August was a sleepover in a "Rock Star" theme. We invited a few girls from school to get hair, nails, & makeup done before seeing the Smurfs movie, swimming, doing cake and presents and then playing Smurf dance party. I thought they would sleep good after that. HA! I was wrong, they were up til almost 11. Needless to say, Mama needed a nap the next day.
